  • I think this was the only show Jack did wearing shades.

  • If I were to see any of Jack Barry's BTB shows, it would've been on Channel 5, WNEW, Saturday Nights at 6PM, after "Mission: Impossible."

  • @nextbarker You know it wasn't. He would later host "The Joker's Wild" until 1984.

  • Jack looks so hip with those shades on :) Never seen his version. GSN always seemed to prefer the Tom Kennedy hosted version. Thanks for uploading this show.

  • @bluebear1985 Yes, but that was okay.

  • @sugarbear522 Indeed!

  • @oldtimeteevee Actually, I can explain - this is the syndicated weekly nighttime edition of Break the Bank, which Jack hosted from 1976-77. The daytime version on ABC was hosted by Tom Kennedy from April to July 1976, and the reason it was short-lived was because the network brass decided to expand One Life to Live and General Hospital to 45 minutes each. So, network politics killed the original show.

  • Vicki Lawrence, Nipsey Russell, Bob Barker, and Jimmie Walker all on the same show? SWEET!!! :-)

  • This has to be somewhere around 76-77, correct? This would be about 5 years into TPIR on CBS which started in 72. How is Barker able to go do an ABC show as the host of a top CBS show? They'd never allow that now would they? I can understand him doing MG and Tattetales on CBS, but ABC????
