This is part 1 of a 11 min video created by Dustin Shewfelt, a PE student in the University of Victoria secondary teacher education program.
The video represents highlights of classes in the Exercise Science Physical and Health Education (EPHE) 452 - Strategies for teaching games in physical education taught by Dr Tim Hopper.
The course focuses on teaching approaches related to the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) (www.tgfu.info), Sport Education and team-building approaches to instruction. The course considers methods of teaching games in physical education to middle and secondary school age children and related groups. Field experience is required as part of this course. Students create multi-media websites on their course experiences located at http://web.uvic.ca/~thopper.
