  • @webbcityglassman thanks! glad you like, thanks for the comment!

  • I used your basic design for my own Scandi jig but with my own modifications for the styles I like to make. It works fantastically! 3 cheers man, great design concept and nice of you to post it for everyone to check out and use.

  • @Haehbeorg i would love to see your version of the grinding jig! make a video or send me pics via my email. thanks!

  • Where do you get your belts? I have the same sander but I cant get finer than 80 grit.

  • @nickpprimm thanks for your comment... i send you a PM... i go to Harbor Freight for local buys... but they only carry 40, 80, and 120.. for online orders i use Jantz Supply, or Tru Grit.

I will have pics on my blog soon and I will forward it you, I basically just adjusted how you attached the blade but again what a great Idea, I have already made 1 perfect Norwegian style bush knife and its beyond sharp.Next is a Scandi Seax =)

  • @BTSchnauzers thanks, that is a 1x30 belt sander that i got from Ebay. it was the second tool i purchased when i started making knives. not sure the brand as the stickers have worn off a long time ago. it was a cheap off brand and i payed about $40 total for it. i have done some modifying to it to fit my needs. you can get one simular at Harbor Freight for a good price.

  • I like that little grinder you're using....looks like it works well. What brand is that? A General? Would like to add a small one like that to my shop. Looks like a 1 inch belt? Blade design is sweet...keep it up!
