2009 Audi TTS. Audi has pulled the cellophane off its TTS, which will sit at the top of the TT line. Set to arrive in dealer showrooms in the fall, the two-liter TFSI high-performance engine will deliver 265 horsepower, down seven horsepower from the European version, but it still should vault from zero to sixty miles per hour in about five seconds. The TFSI engine in the TTS takes two technologies Audi is known for -- gasoline direct injection and turbocharging -- and blends them to form what Audi calls "a perfect partnership." Much to the delight of its drivers, the engine will be backed up by Audi's renowned S tronic dual-clutch automatic-manual transmission, which is capable of extremely fast gear changes. Available as a coupe or roadster, the TTS is also equipped with the Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping system that gives the driver the choice of two settings: "standard" and "sport."
