Ok, Shadow was awesome in Adventure 2...maybe not so much in the later games, but in Adventure 2, he was badass! And the main thing that keeps me a huge sonic fan is that sonic was my first video game ever! There is no replacing the awesome memories I had as a kid playing sonic games and I truly hope there will be some sort of revival for him...in fact, I hear colors wasn't too bad...

Also yes, I would love to see Doug brought back...that would hopefully add a good cartoon to this generation...

Are you really quick to say that SA2 sucked because of Shadow? You're really going to attract the ire of many Sonic fanboys, myself included. The gameplay was solid, compared to SA. Youa hate Shadow, fine. I hate Knuckles. Doesn't mean I avoided and denied myself OG Sonic 3 & Knuckles just cause I couldn't stand him.

Adventure 2 wouldve been the last good sonic game had it not been for the Tails and Knuckles levels. The Sonic/Shadow levels where fantastic, but the other 2/3rds of the game was just so...meh.

Okay.....I really don't care about the other characters, but saying Shadow sucks is pretty much a big lie, I mean hes got a bigger backstory than Sonic.

Though I usually agree with your views on modern gaming, I have to draw a line here. We can all agree that Sonic '06 was a mess, and that there have been undesirable characters over the years, but the blue blur still has some great games. Sorry if you don't like seeing him as a werewolf or waving a sword, but Sega's trying this little thing called VARIETY. If you don't like it, I'm sure there's a post apocolyptic first person shooter in the works to pander to you, just like all the rest.

Shadow is a badass IMO. He did decay a bit in some games but I seriously disagree with you on that one Bob.

@kovulover TBH, Sonic and the Secret Rings is a mixed-bag, as for Next Gen, well...I don't want to make a rant about it but it's definitely my least favorite Sonic game.

Shadow The Hedgehog was the first Sonic game I ever played man. T.T I happen to like Shadow.

Also, I liked the overall gameplay of Sonic Unleashed. The plot was less than amazing BUT it was nice playing the night missions to beat the pulp out of things and play the day missons for some nice old school 'all speed'.

Sonic and the Secret Rings SUCKED.

Haven't played Black Knight.

And Next Gen was okay.
