  • they should make an altamont reunion , but only the people who were there can go , they must sit in the exact same spot and act the exact same way . it would be a FUNNY movie

  • @TheMaz1964 It would be awesome to find out what became of these people and what their memories are of the concert.

  • @dangoist I'm 65 and I can tell you. I was there. It was NOT fun! It was ugly. The HA fucked it up. Trust me, you didn't miss anything.

  • @CrudeDude I'll buy that. Being outside with all those people...was there a bad vibe in the air? Were people pretty mellow, were there lots of fights?

  • @Kramnosnits How was it after the concert?

  • @CharleyBful Wow, you were with Hunter?

  • The guy @ the end is on a bad trip. I like the blonde dude with the gasses that just smiles like he's at Disneyland. And who in the world is that naked chick that keeps popping up. Wasn't she walking @ earlier nude in the clip? I wonder why noone tried to help her? Throw a blanket over her or something??

  • Let me tell you something. In this video, these weekend hippies are NOT dancing to the Rolling Stones. The Rolling Stones didn't even come out of their truck until dark. More likely they dance to Santana or the Airplane. This crowd is made up primarly of week-end hippies, college students and other fringe entities. Real Hippies didn't act quite that idiotic. Usually.

  • I too was there. Arrived the night before and TRIED to sleep on the ground.

We were seated (if you can call it that) about 15 yards in front of the overflowing toilets and had a clear view of the stage, the big stupid School bus with the stupid Hells Angels sitting on top throwing beer cans and the fat naked slob was wandering around in front of us for hours. I enjoyed it. Got to see The Flying Burrito Bros. who were a bit better than the Ruling Stooges

  • I was there ! Walked miles to get there. People were " Born and Died"

  • que chingon ;)

  • The generation that ruined this country. Thanks for nothing.

  • @dangoist I think the problem was primarily that it was cold and people were drinking hard liquor in an attempt to "warm up". There were LOTS of very loaded people. Yes, there was definitely a weird vibe that day, and the hells angels were a VERY large part of that bad vibe.

It got pretty ugly pretty early. We had been at an outdoor concert earlier that year at Lake Amador. It was a completely different deal. No hassles. No fights. Completely different. And completely fun!
