The Track "Guman" is taken from saxophonist Charles Lloyd's 11th album "Sangam" for ECM Records (2006). Recorded live in 2004 in excellent audio quality. Listen & Enjoy it.
"Sangam" is an Indo-Aryan word meaning "assembly", "confluence", "gathering" or "academy," and it refers to the academy in particular in which poets, authors, or, as in the case of Lloyd, Hussain, and Harlan, musicians to gather and release their work.
Note:
I cut the first ca. 1:05 min of the track because of restrictions on youtube. The original length of the track is 11:40 min.
Trio musicians:
Charles Lloyd - tenor & alto saxsophone, tarogato, bass & alto flutes, piano, percussion
Zakir Hussain - tabla, percussion, voice
Eric Harland - drums, percussion, piano
simply awesome.... great chemistry :-)

awesome, thank you for posting this. They are clearly very attentive to the music, and it creates great intensity. I always feel very minimalistic music like this requires a lot of attention to play well, and I think they really made it happen here. Thanks
