This clip really shows us or me at least why Gene loves money and wealth so much. It is because he still sees himself as a little boy living in Israel with nothing. He also has a very strong bond and love for his mother.
A persons early childhood can have a dramatic outcome on the rest of their life.

I love Gene. I grew up on Kiss' music. And i think the antisemitic comments here are from TROLLS ! I know, i used to be one of them.
With that being said, i think Gene is a bit of a narcissist and a schmoozer sometimes. I read this story in his book " sex, lies, kiss" . He has been telling it the same way over and over on talk shows. I hate to say it but it comes off fake sometimes. Gene has some problems (like we all do). If what he said about the older lady bedding him down as a kid

Being an only child and having his father leave at an early age can have something to do with his narcissism....you know, being man of the house too early in life. Gene isnt lying about his mother. She was in a concentration camp. He can just have a real lack of tact sometimes. It can be shameful to us fans.
Being Jewish HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH IT ! Don't go down that road people. Its a dead end. Trust me .
