Part two to my video "I'm Not Getting Married."

To see Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdNrIxPdDmY

Single men and women have been told a lie that is potentially inhibiting their relationship and service to our Lord. God has not designed us to worry about a mate, or spend out time idolizing getting one. Wanting a mate is a natural and wonderful desire, but it should not be the overwhelming desire of your heart.

I look at the scriptures and they clearly refute the ideal that being single is some sort of sickness or thing that is not desired and to be quickly gotten rid of. God wants us to serve him with all of our hearts and abide in Him, and trust me ladies he will reward your faithfulness to Him.

I Corinthians 7

Vs 28 - But if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. But those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.

Vs 32-35 - I would like you to be free from concern. An unmarried man is concerned about the Lord's affairs—how he can please the Lord. But a married man is concerned about the affairs of this world—how he can please his wife— and his interests are divided. An unmarried woman or virgin is concerned about the Lord's affairs: Her aim is to be devoted to the Lord in both body and spirit. But a married woman is concerned about the affairs of this world—how she can please her husband. I am saying this for your own good, not to restrict you, but that you may live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord.

The Prophetess Anna

Luke 2:36-38
There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Read up some more on the tribe of Asher, and the WOMEN of that tribe... as well as some more info on Anna and her faithfulness to God in the midst of her tragedy.

  • In addition... A warning for women. If you find a man and he doesn't love Christ, he has no clue on how to love you!!!! Remember that man was commanded to LOVE his wife as Christ loved the church. And how did Christ love the church? There is no greater friend than one who gives their life for you. Men without sacrifice for no reward have no clue how to love.... Remember that love is the word Charity in King James. Find a man who sacrifices and has charity.... And one will find love.

  • @VTwin4Christ I totally agree! God bless you brother and thanks for coming by!

  • Simone.. let me say this to our sistas.. i was raised in a community to believe that I HAD to get married as a part of the process of my womanhood.. because of not having the tools that i needed to understand the ramifications of being married, making not so good choices, it ended up in divorce. I now see that my singleness is so very intimate and personal to me in my relationship to Jesus.. I am now in my element! and if and when the time comes for mate I will be ready!

  • @crazystuff2011 What a wonderful testimony! God can pick up the pieces and mend broken hearts!

  • Excellent!!!!!! Your words touch my mind and penetrated my soul. I needed to hear this message. We forget that our focus is to be on God not things or ppl. He knows what best for us. Everything in due time and season.

  • @zheahra Yep... seek FIRST the kingdom of heaven and His righteousness... all these things shall be added.

  • Stumbled on to this vid and I really need to hear this right now. Need the LORD's healing and want only contentment in him....

  • @dhigable - I would hope that men would run the other way. Lol. But regarding your comments... Women had to be silent in the old ways, not the new. Check out the book Love and Respect by Eggerich... He does a great job of breaking down the scripture in to real world examples.

  • YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! PREACH! Thank you JESUS!

  • @VTwin4Christ Good luck with "that" one, because "real" men believe in themselves, not some imaginary being. So, you go right ahead in your delusions, because if a "real" man comes across you, he will run the other way. The bible also says that women should be quiet in the church, but nobody wants to talk about that. Keep on picking and choosing what you want to believe instead of believing the whole book. It shows your ignorance.

  • This is very sad but true. Our culture has changed a lot. The real men don't exist anymore. They're goofing off and not preparing to have families. Most woman are more spiritual than men. You cant get men to set foot in a church today. I cant tell you how many singles conferences i've gone to where it was 95% female & 5% male and most of the males have a bizillion "female friends" so they're not looking to be in a relationship but to play games.

  • Hey Simone great video, continue to teach biblical truths. Question what are your thoughts on Titus 2: 3-5? I would like to hear your comments.

    Thank You
