Solstice - a home bred gelding with an amazing temperament and top class bloodlines. A real competition prospect.

Solstice currently stands at 16hh, measured on 17/5/11, and he's 2 years old.

Solstice has powerful elastic movement and looks just like his dad Elfenstein who is a stunning black stallion standing at 16.2 hands.

Elfenstein was premium graded at Neumunster in October 2006 and successfully completed a 70 day performance Test in Germany in 2007 where he received the dream score of 10 for his temperament which he has definitely passed on to his son.
Elfenstein`s sire is the Elite stallion Hohenstein who has an impressive breeding and competition record. He became a Premium Stallion at the 1993 grading in Neumuenster. In 1994 he was Reserve Champion of his Performance Test with a total index of 134.05 winning the dressage section with an amazing index of 148.29. He has many graded sons including the Champion Munchhausen now a successful Grand Prix horse. Hohstein was proclaimed Elite in 1999 and became Stallion of the Year in 2002. Not only successful in the Trakehner breed, Hohstein has been widely used as a refining Stallion in the Hanovarian and Oldenburg breeds. His son His Highness, became champion of the Grading in Verden and was sold to the U.S. for 515,000 Euros.
Elfenstein`s Dam line is also very impressive producing International 3* Event horse and Advanced Level Showjumper.

Solstice`s Dam is Holme Grove Skylark a graded mare who was 1st in the Filly Foal Class at the TBF Show 2004 and went on to be Reserve Champion Foal. In 2006 she was lst in the 2 year old Class and again stood Reserve Champion. Her dam the very beautiful premium graded mare Sante Fe was by the famous Stallion Kostolany who is the sire of Gribaldi. Skylark`s sire is Holme Grove Prokofiev who was graded in Alsfield in l998 with judges comments including a considerable talent for jumping. Very good walk and trot with much power and perfect knee action. Excellent canter. Presents himself with little nerves. Prokofiev`s sire is the Russian TB Stallion Begxx who has retired to Stud in Bavaria after winning money racing on the track showjumping to the equivalent of a Grade A level whilst at the same time winning Grand Prix Dresssage Competitions in Germany.
