  • I was with my Regiment this remembrance day in very southern Ontario. This was my first formal parade with my unit and I only just now realized that in and around 40 of them are Afghanistan vets. I want to take the time to thank them and all soldiers that have came home from battle and those who could not come back. R.I.P. fellow comrads

  • Awesome!! When we got back from the service I was told by many we were on it. Sure enough, baby and I on a close up. Great service.

  • Thanks for this excellent video, It's fantastic. God Bless Our Hero and Canada.

  • God Bless Canada!.

  • @InfidelPathfinder Excellent. God Save The Queen of Canada.

  • @B21983 The Union Flag is the Royal Union Flag in Canada and is considered to be a symbol of Canada's Commonwealth heritage and of the monarchy. It is flown at events such as Remembrance Day to honour our connection with other Commonwealth forces that we have fought together with.

  • Today is one of the saddest days for me as a Canadian. While our soldiers fought to defend our freedoms and prosperity from enemies abroad and ensured we all are treated equally and justly, the sad truth is enemies from within have discriminated against Canadians including our miltary personnel, who have had their medical and legal rights removed. This discrimination is killing thousands of Canadians and forced 50,000+ Canadians into poverty.

  • @B21983 The Union Jack was the official flag of Canada until 1965 (although not the de facto flag, which was the red ensign at the time) and still has some level of official status in certain occasions where it is flown alongside the current national flag (e.g. in this case, or on the anniversary of the Statute of Westminster). And considering many of the Canadians being honoured today served under British command in the wars, especially WW1, it does make sense. Cheers.
