Fred Durst's real directorial debut (even though it's getting released after his follow up, The Longshots), The Education of Charlie Banks stars Jesse Eisenberg, Jason Ritter and Chris Marquette. Chockful of Great Gasby symbolism and references, the story is slow, the acting unbelievable (not in a good way) and the pace way off. It's a good thing Limp Bizkit is getting back together. • i couldn't disagree more. i thought this film was amazing. i also thought that the acting was great and you got to know the characters and relate to them. one of the best movies ive seen for a long time. if you havn't seen this definately watch it!

  • this movie was suppose to portray a story in real a life evorinment through characters and how the develop in that story. they didn't want to splice scenes, make it unrealistic, they showed it how it is. im sorry if u r used to unrealisticallly pack movies that just blast one thing to another in ur face. this movie didnt want to do that. they wanted to tell you a story and have you take interest in the characters and feel for them and if you do that, then you just might get lost into it

  • @heelydude1 and like it

  • Jason Ritter really cant pull of the tough guy role.. I think Jesse Eisenberg and Chris Marquette are like the two most talented actors i can think of! but i think this movie sucked, it was just so boring!!!

  • OMG I love U xxxxoooo

  • You didn't mention what the "education" of Charlie Banks was. I wonder why. My guess would be that you didn't get it or didn't even try to get it.

The reason why Ritter was believable to me is because his character wasn't just another typical "local thug". There was lots of vulnerability in that character and Ritter did a great job conveying that. So when you criticize Ritter for not being the archetypal local thug, you are actually complementing him.

Props to Mr Durst for this movie. See it!

  • It was not that bad. I enjoyed it. I agree it wasn't the best film ever made but it is definitely worth watching. Chris Marquette and Jesse Eisenberg are really talented actors. And Chris Marquette as an actor has definitely been underrated and deserves more credit and opportunities for more roles.
