========================================================
♥♥♥ It's the dream of every man to go back to the land where he was born
♥♥♥ And that's how it is with me
♥♥♥ Every night I say a silent prayer for the day when I can go home again
♥♥♥ To feel the warm morning sun and to walk where I used to run
♥♥♥ Many things can keep a man and his homeland apart
♥♥♥ But the years and the miles can't change what's in a man's heart
♥♥♥ And someday somehow I will go back to the land I love.

This is a song of those dreaming to be able to go back to their birthplace (without the fear of being persecuted).
The songwriter, Luis María Aguilera Picca, was a Latin singer, songwriter and actor, best known for this worldwide hit song '"Cuando Sali de Cuba" ("When I Left Cuba"), which has become the unofficial anthem for Cuban exiles.
In parallel, the patriotic song "Bayan Ko" (My Country), popularized by Freddie Aguilar (composer of "Anak"),
became an anathema to the doctrine of the regime that was toppled by the "people power" in the Philippines.
