Erick Friedman was one of the 20th century's greatest violinists. He was the only violinist who was both a protege of Heifetz and disciple of Milstein. Here he is joined by the pianist Pavel Ostrovsky in the performance of violin and piano music by another great violinist, Fritz Kreisler. I was Erick Friedman's teaching assistant in Europe and worldwide manager, from 1994 until his sad death in 2004.

  • Beautiful piece, amazing performance. Why do people like this have to die....I wonder.....

  • A lovely, simple, direct performance - much harder to do than it looks!

  • the more he got away from Heifitz the more

the beauty of his playing came through .

    A beautiful player .

  • viva friedmann and heifetz

  • A gentle, sensitive reading and most enjoyable to listen to. This lovely man died far too soon and the World of music is much poorer for it. Many thanks for posting this.
