@comrademarxist Actually there is a movement to create brass band programs in schools around the United States. I have founded the first school-based All Girl Brass Band in the US (as far as I know) I also succeeded the founder of the first school based brass band program at another school. This is a wonderful performance!

It's called The Cobblers and you may know it from the film Brassed Off which was actually filmed in the village of Delph where I took this video.

This is what the top handful of British brass bands sound like. America seems to be more interested in wind/military bands perhaps?
