  • What is the name of the first march played in this video?

  • It's called The Cobblers and you may know it from the film Brassed Off which was actually filmed in the village of Delph where I took this video.

  • This is what a real brass band should sound like. Why is America starved of this sort of great ensembles?

  • This is what the top handful of British brass bands sound like. America seems to be more interested in wind/military bands perhaps?

  • Now folks THIS is what the internet is all about. Traveling instantly thousands of miles, across the Atlantic.... and perhaps, it seems, even back through time.

Charming, cheery, and praiseworthy. Nice to see. Thanks!

  • love this band everytime i see them or hear them brings a tear to my eye

  • Thank you for this wonderful video.

  • @comrademarxist Actually there is a movement to create brass band programs in schools around the United States. I have founded the first school-based All Girl Brass Band in the US (as far as I know) I also succeeded the founder of the first school based brass band program at another school. This is a wonderful performance!

  • @klioy7000 That's coz they are amazingly good.

  • grimethorpe are no where as good as this now...

  • Prefer this rendition to Black Dykes', just got something more about it.

  • this is taken at a great tempo, so many bands play it too slow
