Erol Alkan has remixed tracks from artists including Mylo, Bloc Party, Daft Punk, The Chemical Brothers and Digitalism, and his profile increased considerably during 2006, when remixes for Scissor Sisters, Justice and Franz Ferdinand helped earn him the Mixmag 2006 "DJ of the Year" award.

Erol also uses the alias Mustapha 3000, and is half of the psychedelic rock act Beyond the Wizard's Sleeve. He has produced B-Sides for The Long Blondes and Klaxons and most recently taken a hand to producing. He produced Mystery Jets' second album, Twenty One and Late of the Pier's debut record, Fantasy Black Channel.

Before his set for dollop at Stealth in Nottingham, we caught up with Erol and Sam Potter (Late of the Pier) for a chat.
