This video is from a historic concert by The United States Coast Guard Band in combination with The Leningrad Military District Band. The Coast Guard Band was the first U.S. military band to play in the former Soviet Union (USSR). Our tour was mostly in the Leningrad area (also known as St. Petersburg). This concert was performed in the spectacular October Hall. Each band played some numbers alone and there were several combined numbers. This selection is by both bands, performing John Philip Sousa's Hands Across the Sea (appropriate, huh?)
whoa tuba on the end was excited

Wow. My marching band has to play this for a parade. This misic piece is really hard for 1st flute. Even for me, even though i have played flute for almost 5 years..

Intonation perfect? were you able to hear the upper woodwinds? Otherwise, this is a very nice reading of one of the best marches ever written.....
