This is from my hybrid cut of Superman II (1980) (which is also known as the Lester Cut because of the switch of directors during the film's production) and Superman II: Donner Cut (2006). I know there are a million hybrid cuts like this out there, but I just decided to take a stab at it myself.

There aren't too many significant changes, I just took the Donner Cut version of the battle and added parts of the battle from the Lester Cut that I liked and thought would add a slightly different perspective to it.

So enjoy, and if you have any suggestions, feel free to comment below!

That's cause that particular scene was from the alternate Superman 2 film called the Donner Cut which came out in 2006.

I know this is all the technology they had back in the day but this is horrible compared to man of steel. Even though i admit man of steel fight couldve been a little shorter because after a while it becomes overwhelming. But it was still way better than this.

I am so grateful for the CGI we have today. The action in Man Of Steel was incredible, phenomenal and beautiful...just imagine if it stayed like this..

I did, and he didn`t care about collateral damage, he didn`t take the battle outside the city, even on dragon ball they take the battle outside, and in the end he murdered zod, which raised so many questions, why did he kill him? if he was going to kill him anyway why didn`t he just kill him since the beginning?

He didn't kill thousands of civilians, nor did he personally destroy the city. Watch the actual movie instead of listening to butt hurt morons complaining about a film that's above their ability to comprehend.

    1. There was a lot of action before the last 30-40 minutes. (Opening scene on krypton) I liked it for a while but it felt more ans more stale as time went on. Plus the movie's 140 minutes long. Not 180.

    2. Even if the film was centered on clark, He still lacked any of the charm or personality that christopher reeve had.

    >Too much action

There was no action until the last 30-40 minutes and the movie was about 3 hours

    >Lacking in character development

Well it was mostly centered on clark so I suppose that's why it was like that for other characters.

This is cheesy. But man of steel was lacking in character development and it had way too much action. This movie is better.
