Woodlawn House Fire - November 17, 2008

Shortly after 2 a.m. on Monday, November 17, Baltimore County, MD westside firefighters responded to a reported dwelling fire at 3501 Essex Road @ Brompton Road (Fire Box 3-3) in Woodlawn. While units were en route, Fire Dispatch advised that Baltimore County Police units were on scene reporting fire showing and possible people still inside the dwelling. First arriving BCoFD Engine 3 reported heavy fire showing from a 1.5 story house, and several civilians were also reporting victims were still inside. Firefighters immediately entered the house and found a woman at the base of the stairs and they brought her outside to emergency medical personnel. The woman was transported by medic unit to an area hospital. Command requested BCoFD Fire Investigation Division to the scene to determine a cause.
