I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today is January 6, which is The Epiphany of Our Lord. This is usually read on this day as a New Testament Lesson (or Epistle) of the Day. Well, this ends the Christmas season. We can look to November 27, 2011. That is The First Sunday of Advent. The watching, waiting, and hoping will begin all over again. The first candle will be lighted. To me, that is a small light in a dark world.
