Review Eureka Military Combat Tent 1-2 Person ICS 2000 TCOP Tent USMC PT.1

PT.1 Of a full review. See Description For Specs. I will be selling this exact tent already seam gripped in the crucial areas. Tent has been set up 2 times once to rain test (camera was not working to do a video on it but will try again next rainy day) stayed 100% dry in windy and heavy rain conditions. Set up in the grass at home completely unharmed. I will be also selling one never set up brand new (I will open and inspect to ensure all contents are there). Cost will be $209. This is the absolute ultimate Backpacking, Motorcycle, Car Camping Tent. 5.4 pounds without the extras. Made for the military by Eureka! The ORC version is just not Eureka! But you can take your chances(i prefer to buy tents from companies known for making tents). The Dual Vestibule version is not as easy to get in and out of and there is plenty of room for a guy and a girl and all of your equipment so 2 vestibules are just not needed and the extra weight is not needed in my opinion. This is a much better option than the 2 person tent because it is half the weight with more useable vestibule space with plenty of room to change clothes and store all your gear (see my diamond brand combat tent review). Go with this over the 2 man in my opinion. If you have to sleep 2 adult males you could in a pinch. I have seen some videos up grading the backcountry 1 tents with this fly... WHY??? The backcountry 1 is 150 to 180 and then 50 for the upgrade. With only one door and much less cool all around (no offense the backcountry 1 is a great little tent). Just find one of these.

@Backpackingreviewer, thanks for the reviews on the woodland cameo tents. What tent do you prefer? The Eureka Military Combat Tent or the Diamond Brand Marine Combat Tent? What is the difference and why choose one or the other? I’ve you find another one, perhaps we can do some business. Anyway, I like your style of doing the review and you convinced me to go for the single vestibule and perhaps even for going for the 1 person version tents (as long as the girlfriend can come along ;-) cheers :-)

@andrisig33 I like the eureka for a couple reasons, they are reinforced in a few key areas and the seams are taped. Also the fit and finish of the tents are slightly better. They are both great though and the Diamond Brand is less expensive so it's a good option. They only have eureka and ORC versions of the smaller shelter and the ORC version is junk compared to the Eureka version. They are 6inches shorter width wise and dont have as many tie down loops, Stay away from ORC Tents

update, the last tents I have been able to get will be all sold I have 4 left. They are on ebay now. I am lucky to have helped over 30 people find a great deal on these rare tents. Maybe with the troops coming home, we'll see a lot more of these on the surplus market soon! The older single vestibule style is a terrific one man stealth tent. I like the ability to have the big screen opening out the front for viewing outside. Perfect for regular camping trips! With the blackout feature it makes a great bug-out/stealth option too! Get a newer style two vestibule rain-fly online as a spare and you have the option of having both available for whatever your requirement are!

Will you provide me with the dimension of rainfly pole (individual tube length, #, total length and tube diameter)? Have been unable to locate entire tent, but found just rainfly for my Backcountry 1 and need to manufacture pole. Let me know if you know location for entire tent. Thanks B.
