@petujaymz that suspension of play changed the match completely... Date had just won the second set by winning like i think 6 straight games... Date always took awhile to get warmed up in her matches against steffi... their fed cup match was epic... Date should have been the wimbledon champ that year but clearly fortune favored Steffi

I so wanted Kimko to win this match. Imagine if she had what mayh have been!!!!!! The first Japanese to win Wimbledon back in 1996. Would have been a better claasic match in the final if it was Date & Sanchez Viczrio like their Olympic quarter final in 1996.
