well russia is still very much US nemesis even if the cold war's over.. they got huge natural resources, oligarchs to sell them off have been kicked out the game & putin is a real nationalist who hates the US and democracy. The fact that bush stole 2 elections doesn't really encourage me to see them destabilize russia for that reason, but i guess we sheep shouldnt get our noses in powerful people's rivalry, except to go get killed when they broke wars from their offices, so i wont say anything
