In my never ending quest to review a toy from each Metal Hero series, I have now reached Spielban! For Spielban, i've decided to review the cool Twin Blade weapon.

I happen to like this toy quite a bit. Typical "lance" type weapons usually fall flat in terms of function and playability. Here, the Twin Blade has a spring loaded mechanism that works very smoothly unlike toys such as the Dairenroddo from Gosei Sentai Dairanger or those Star Wars Lightsaber toys that you have to violently shake in order to activate. Here, it's a simple press of a button. In addition to this, the Twin Blade can act as a lance OR a sword. Pressing only one of the buttons will release only one side. So this toy can be used as either.

The Twin Blade is also a decent size for being a role playing toy. It may not look like it based on the video, but this thing really does take up some room. I had to hold it at an angle in order to get the whole thing in frame while staying within the backdrop. In the end it made the Twin Blade look kinda small and my arm look massive...but I had to do it that way to get everything in frame. ^^ Take my word, though. This thing is a good size.

Details are kinda sparse. Aside from the generic Spielban stickers, there isn't too much else to the design. The blade tips are pretty cool looking.

Included with the Twin Blade is a clip/beltloop/holster as well as a Spielban mini data book.

This toy, or any variation, never reached American shores when Saban's VR Troopers aired. The Twin Blade was used by the JB Reese character in the show, however no toy was ever produced by Kenner. So if you're a fan, the only way to get this one is to order it from Japan.

Be sure to follow me on Twitter! I'm pretty loose with information there. I really like to hear from people: http://twitter.com/CCLemon99

Finally, please be sure to subscribe to my Channel(s)!! I upload a new video every week and subscribing is the best way to keep up with me!

Thanks for watchin'. See ya next time!
