Oh ye gods what a mess and what hubris! Renee is a beautiful lady with a beautiful Strauss/Mozart voice, but she has NO right to sing Norma. This is Casta Diva? This is jazzy hysteria, oversung, overacted, affected and effete. These are cheap tricks and unforgivable liberties, aimed at hiding her technical inadequacy. Don't singers respect the score anymore?
