Unfortunately, the Clock of Nations did not spin around. This is the last time that we will ever see our fabled timepiece inside of Midtown Plaza. To my understanding, it will be restored and displayed at the Greater Rochester International Airport until 2012. In 2012, it will be displayed at the Golisano Childrens' Hospital at Strong in a brand new atrium.

  • According to the newspaper, Midtown's last day is August 1st. The Skyway will be closed off next month and demolition will begin on September 30th. Everyone left in the office building will leave on December 31st, according to Wikipedia.

  • i notice the publicity difference in midtown.not what i had remembered.

  • Yeah, hardly anybody remembered that it was Midtown Plaza's very last birthday. Kind of sad, but I didn't expect a big turn out.
