the test should be the same now in all EU countries and this would help stop most of the stupid driving by foreign drivers in the UK that haven't got a clue about road safety or how to read road signs! I have a Polish friend here in the U.K and he says that it's easy to pass your test there...... just depends how big a bribe you can give...

I think I am good for up to a year on my Canadian license. When I exchange I can only get an auto so I will have to take a test. Should be simle enough with a couple of lessons beforehand.

I think you will have to take a test after one year in this country. Check with the local police. Do not forget that you may have no insurance without a valid license. I have a French
driving license but I checked it out with both the police and my insurance company to be safe.
