Local Government permanent secretary John Kirui ,former Nairobi town clerk John Gakuo and eight other senior officials are spending the night in police custody after they were arrested by the Kenya Anti Corruption Commission over the cemetery scandal . KACC plans to charge them in court tomorrow for the loss of 283 million shillings and breach of procurement regulations in the cemetery land deal exposed last month. KACC principal public relations officer Nicholas Simani says that the commission is pursuing other 9 suspects. But the attorney general has called on the commission to conclude investigations on the nine and hand in their files. Franklin Macharia reports.
