After spending tons of time pressing my ear against the speakers listening to the subtleties of the bass in this song, I finally came up with my humble take on this rhythmically charged and harder-than-it-sounds bassline.

great job! This is my favourite Radiohead song, it's really beautiful. I have been playing bass for a while now but am having a hard time developing a good ear and need to keep working at it. Do you have any advice?

@pr3st0nx Of course. Start by picking a song with a very clear and easy to follow bassline. Sit down and try to figure it out, note by note, no matter what, no tabs, no cheating. Spend days, weeks if you have to, even if you're stuck on a single note. Whenever in doubt as to where to start, just start on a fret and go up or down until you come close to matching whatever note. Narrow it down until you're almost sure that's it, then play along with the song to check if it makes sense.

Good cover, very close! But you got a 5 string there man, make use of it. You'll get better tone out of the fatter strings, plus it will be easier to play instead of sliding up and down on the A string

dude! Thank you for actually following the drums. I feel like its a subtlety lost on alot of bass players today haha.. oh my gosh i cant tell you how many videos i watched and your the first to do it, even in the ghost notes your very percise with your timing.
