LASIK is a destructive surgery. The damage to the corneas in this video is obvious but often the damage is not so apparent. Researchers at Emory found permanent pathologic changes in all post-LASIK corneas (Kramer et al. Pathologic findings in postmortem corneas after successful laser in situ keratomileusis. Cornea. 2005 Jan;24(1):92-102.) LASIK results in permanent adverse effects, even in the absence of immediate complications. LASIK patients are at life-long risk of surgical complications and increased risk of corneal infections.

Yes, I'd say it's likely to be bad. Just ONE event set off the alarm bells for me. Here's what happened:
I walked into a premises advertising Laster Eye Surgery. The receptionist began to arrange for an appointment, explaining that I was to turn up, and first read some "paperwork", which I would then sign
"A contract?" I asked
"Yes, just some paperwork"
"Can I have that paperwork now so that I can go home & read over it"
"Oh we don't just give paperwork to anyone off the street."
Yeah right!

Lasik performed by dr. keon nia of canada's lasikmd chain completely destroyed my life and he has not been a decent enough surgeon to even talk to me after the surgery over 14 months ago. Constant pain and blurry vision. Have had to visit 3 seperate opthamologists in search of answers only to find out that I am basically permanently screwed.

yep prk really messed my eyes up. Can't drive at night anymore. REal cool considering I'm only 31. Fuck laser vision correction.

Seriously, thank you for this video. Another video I just saw made it look all miraculous. And maybe it is, but maybe it is for just a while.
It reminds me of buying an MP3 player on eBay. Good price. It worked, and I gave positive feedback. Then it stopped working--it had apparently been built with faulty flash memory, corruptly bought from a factory official from their pile of reject components.
