The Confrontation Jekyll & Hyde

Hello all! thanks for all your amazing comments on Javert's suicide. I've just finished doing Jekyll and Hyde in my local theatre, just wanted to give you a sample of my confrontation to see if you liked it. Again their may be some video faults. Ugh, well what you gonna do? lol

I honestly think this is one of the best "Confrontation"s on YouTube. Your singing is great of course, but it's the acting that really sets it apart. I really felt the desperation in Jekyll's voice and the icy cruelty in Hyde's. And the "transformations" really seemed like two personalities violently fighting for control over the same body, rather than just an actor facing different ways and changing their voice. You really made it believably a battle, and that sold the whole thing. Major props.

from an actors point of view, that song is a bitch to perform. The fact that he did both parts shows alot of talent on his part. Holy shit man, and very well done.

I disagree with the negative reviews. I find this performance just as amazing as the one on my CD, and I listened to both consecutively. Not to mention that the CD is, as others pointed out, pre-recorded. Having somewhat of an understanding of the musical, I think that the whole song is portrayed perfectly. You did this amazingly well, and it really is like a "confrontation" :) Keep up the good work in singing/theatre! (Sorry, I spell it the old-fashioned way.)

this is good acting. I especially loved it toward the end when you are rapidly switching between Jekyll and Hyde. it's really dramatic and you did it well.

This is awesome, especially the quick voice changes. I'm a decent actor myself and currently working on a reproduction of the Phantom of the Opera, me as Erik. You just have to flip out and go crazy with such demented characters, so I extremely applaud you.

Pretty good but I could have lived without the screaming between the transitions. Try to project that energy with the subtleties of your voice and your actions. The number one mistake I see with this piece is the over-doing of the Hyde voice. This one's not as a bad in that department as some of the other ones, but pull it back a little and make the conflict a bit more cerebral.
