who bothers about her weight has fat between his ears instead of brains. There's another thats almost plastic, nobody moves about that? Singing is about sound and feelings. Close your eyes and listen, thàts what music is about.

@k3304 You continue to mention how angry Linda is. Sounds like you have anger issues of your own. Personally, I have always loved all three of these ladies' voices, and they still thrill my soul! Linda is the most versatile of the 3, so even though she has pretty much retired (her words) the level of her talent probably surpasses even Emmy's and Dolly's, which is saying a LOT.

@k3304 You seem fixated with Linda being overweight and Democrat. Neither is relevant for her as a musician or performer. Female soul singers are, almost by tradition, overweight, why should it matter for Linda? She remains America's most versatile female singer of today, and I'm dead certain that you haven't seen her perform live ever, as you're only concerned with irrelevant aspects of her persona. And she still has got a beautiful face, with those lovely wide-set eyes and a terrific smile.

@janbohme , democrat Linda needs to die in a plane crash like her hero Patsy Cline and then maybe i might respect her, but i doubt it. Linda is an angry, overweight former performer who needs to step aside because her live performances are extremely depressing nowadays. She's an old cow destined for pasture

@k3304 Nah. She's an ultra-liberal, but then most of the artsy types who were young in the sixties are. As I reckon, she's as much on the charts as she likes to these days. But I don't pay much attention to the political views of musicians in any direction - they haven't got anything to do with their music. And of course Linda is an interpreter, not a songwriter. But then, so was Elvis Presley.

@janbohme , Linda has aged an angry, political person maybe because she's no longer on the charts. She will never make it to the Songwriters Hall of Fame because she never wrote a song in her life.

@k3304 Musically, she's aged exquisitely. She's one of the very few vocal geniuses out there. And she still has her very pretty face. Some singers put on weight as they age, that's a fact of life, but the world of music would be a lot poorer if there were a BMI limit on singers. And I think that we all should be grateful that Linda is a Democrat. If she would have been a Republican, she would have worn a bra during the seventies. And wouldn't that have been an utter waste!
