A new, extra large species of elephant shrew has been discovered by chance in Tanzania. The forest dwelling creature is distantly related to elephants, sea cows and aardvarks.

  • Can't stand when species are called "new". Newly discovered is more like it, though I'm sure they would do just fine without us ever laying our eyes on them.

  • Yes, isn't that amazing? It makes me wonder why some people come to the conclusion that the One True G-d does not exist, exclaiming there isn't enough evidence, when we have not even discovered all the creatures that exist.
