Shawn Colvin on Nightmusic

Thanks so much for posting this. The first I ever heard of Shawn was around this time with her performance at the "Hitchhiker Music Hour" and I was hooked.

This is a wicked tight set, and jazzy which is new perspective for me on this number. Ms. Colvin you go girls!!!!

I found Shawn Colvin many, many years ago. She never disappoints. My poor kids grew up with me belting out her music in the car. My youngest daughter got her autograph years ago ..it is still gold to her as a grown woman. Good stuff.

I only just now stumbled on this artist through a comment to one of my posts. I have taken the bait hook line & sinker....an immediate fan who wants to hear more of her music! Does she tour the west coast much? NW ?

I remember this show, and "Sessions At West 54th Street" and many others like these. What happened to all these great shows? She did a cover of the Beetles "I'll Be Back" on Letterman (I think) in '04 or early '05. Its maybe the best song I have ever heard her play.

God Almighty, what have you done to us...to put her before us this way? What of our hearts? God, did you give no thought to our hearts?

I saw Shawn last year in Ghent (Belgium) and this is also amazing. One of the best singers in the universe!! Realy

I remember her playing her music in the clubs Like Merlins down at Southern Illinois University during the early to mid 1970's. I was a music major there at the time too. Even Big Twist and the Mellow Fellows were another group that became big. Good years back then that produced excellent musicians. She is living proof.
