Samba de una nota! One of my faves.

Oh dear God, one thing which I do NOT miss about that period of time are those damned bongo drums! It seemed like a rite of passage for so many people back then. Of course, nobody could actually PLAY them, but they were handy to keep around to show everyone how cool you were!

TALENT, TALENT, TALENT!!
GOD, I LOVE DUSTY :)

Thanks for posting this great clip! Was this from a 16mm kinescope print? I collect 16mm music films, which is why I ask. Thanks, HM, founder Highway Cinema

These seems less from Brazil than from the magical tiki-tiki land of Martin Denny's dreams. But Dusty is so damn adorable, how can you not love it all the same?

What a unique cover of the beautiful Antonio Carlos Jobim composition. Thanks for posting!

@PatientMickey ~Nope...Dusty's brother is on the right playing the bon-go's...Dion O'Biran became Tom Springfield and wrote and produced most, if not all of The Seekers albums/hits. Mike Hearne is on the left.

surprise this song didnt make it on a recording... Like on On an island of dreams compilation of almost their songs.

hehehe, pretty cute rendition. not bad. its cute. they're havin fun alright.
Dion O'Brien, Dusty's brother is playing the conga drum on the left. The greatest hit the 'Springfields' had on the U.S. music charts was 'Silver Pins and Golden Needles'. The following year from it's release, Dusty struck out for her solo career.
