i think the most other countries dont understand that people in holland dont always automaticly trace the line between sinterklaas and racism because we are not stuffed with anti racist campaigns like americans are (which also causes racism as an counter reaction). anyway I am dutch and half black and my black side of the family never found sinterklaas having anyhting to do with racism. I actually spend all my sinterklaas holidays with. so take that american close minded people

Thats because your not born there. I am black and i am born in belgium and raised up with sinterklaas. That holliday is just about getting a present. almost all the black people and other minority groups (moslims,jews) also participate. It maybe looks racist but it doesn't have anything to do with it. At least sinterklaas has black people working fore him. Santaclause doesn't have any black guy working fore him. Just a pack of reindeers.
