Looks that way, maybe they tiller, balance the limbs, before they fix them together, or making it from one piece has some disadvantage???

I notice , the bows seem to be two pieces of flat bamboo tied together at the handle...am I right?

the bamboo bow does not have much pull, archers are required to 'ark' the shots which descend towards the target around 130-140 meters distance.
The modern bows fire at a more straight angel, leading to more fatalities as the arrow path is no easily discernible to the naked eye. much unlike the traditional bamboo bow.

people often will stand next to targets that are being fired on.
In our village, the local joker "often drunk" used to dance around the target, he died 8 years ago from an arrow to the lung.

Awesome video! I love archery - and these guys do, too. Maybe I should visit Bhutan. Holy crap, these guys are skilled - that looks like about 40 - 100 yards, and they're shooting when people are downrange! Man I envy these guys' skill!

I had some friends stay with me from Bhutan (Kinley and Wangdue) and I took them to an archery supplier, you should have seen their eyes light up when they got their hands on a couple of super modern compound bows.
