Ah table tennis. This game is actually pretty hilarious to see some of the misses made. The computers are programmed in such a way that after a few rallies they miss the ball on purpose you'll see on at 4:15. And also if you hit the ball in such a way that it hits their racket at a certain angle it'll just fall to the floor. And then lastly the errors made by the human player; failing to hit the ball on your serve. When it's your serve and you fail to serve the ball it counts as a point for the other person.

You forgot something in the description: sometimes, even if your opponent misses, they'll still get the point because you hit the ball out of bounds. You can see that at 5:48.
