--- Latest! Proper mp-tea download now available! $0.99! ReverbNation dot com slash mymategeorge ---

An updated version, with slightly tweaked lyric, and in a key that doesn't have me straining for the high notes quite so much. Thanks again for musical inspiration to the Kinks, and to Billy Bragg who always seems to have a cuppa on stage. And to Mrs Doyle, of course. And tea.
And to JC Grimshaw for the legendary Johnny Grimshaw mandolin mug.

  • A nice cup of tea...AND A REALLY GOOD BOOK! Heaven on earth.

  • @vortexethereal Indeed. If you haven't seen it, my ode to books is 'The Addict' -- enjoy!

  • I love this! (: Even if I do prefer coffee... haha. (:

  • @SalivaLaced Glad you enjoyed it. Perhaps you can do a coffee version?

  • Cracking song ..really uplifting im a 15 mug 3 sugars person ..i live on that painting and decorating ...you sound really good here ..well done ..

  • @pagslucyloo Thanks! Glad you like it. I think it's an improvement on the other version.

I've discovered loose-leaf tea and teapots recently. Experimenting with different types: Assam, Darjeeling, Ceylon, etc. Favourite so far is the Assam. Something very satisfying about taking the time to have a proper break, brew it properly, and taste it rather than swig it while doing something else. Very civilised.

  • @pimpslider Putting the track listing together today. 14 tracks. Just got to get them recorded fairly decently. I know a man who does that kind of thing, if he can be patient with me repeatedly cocking up the chords. Then I'm thinking do a CD and set up tracks for download by around February/March next year, ahead of St George's Day on 23rd April.

May have a little gig on 18th October, too. Will keep you posted.

  • When's the album out?

  • Earl greys quite nice but I prefer coffee flavoured with Bailys Irish cream.

  • Sure, didn't our lord on the cross pause for a nice cup of tea before givin himself up for the world?

-- No he didn't Mrs Doyle!!

Well, whatever equivalent they had for tea in those days; cake or whatever...
