@Ettoredipugnar Maybe replace with Pavarotti.

fantástico.

It so nice to hear a tenor not screaming at the top of his range... What an a beautiful tone this man had, even Pavarotti did not equal that kind of tone.
-
Grande Caruso.
-
lovely. I think this my favorite version of this aria
-
as close as he ever came to a trill on records is here. this is a wonderful recording !
-
@muatlas Take Domingo out of the mix please.
-
Perfect transfer, properly pitched here in the key of G.
Another poster on YT has it in A flat, which sounds wrong.

@HolyMotherofGrid Caruso was only 46 when it was recorded. If was not for his early death, we would
hear him for over twenty years more.
Do not overestimate modern recording, it was not better than the acoustics.
You want prove? Ask all the other singers to record with the acoustic equipment. Then you can compare them
mano a mano with Caruso. They wouldnot dare to do it.
Life would be diminished without the singing of Caruso, Gigli, Bjorling, and Domingo, and without the music of Handel.

..an old radio clip that was saved has Paul Whiteman, talking about going in to record his orchestra about 1919...he says, "I got there, and I saw a fat guy sitting there, smoking waiting, I guess to record.......well, the "fat guy" was Caruso.......
