How To Open A Retail Store - Cheap!

Got Memories of Payson is a unique gift shop in Payson, Arizona (pop 17,000) where a large aspect of their business is devoted to memory transfers, AKA as the process of transferring old home movies, 8mm, 16mm, VHS tapes, camcorder cassettes, slides, prints and the contents of memory cards to DVD! Getting that old and brittle film out of the shoebox's, memory "coffins" stashed in closets. Too harsh a word to use? Not at all, our motto here is "transfer today, before they fade away!"

How did we Open a Retail Shop on the cheap?
Commercial space here is cheap right now, as low as $.50 per sq ft.
We sit on the major road leading into town, 28,000 cars go buy every day so we saved a bundle on signs.

We have no inventory, our family makes all the merchandise or fronts it to us. DVD transfers are a service, our parent company (lab) is in Scottsdale, AZ , just an hour or so's drive down the mountain from Payson. For just a few measly thousands (gulp!) we were in business!
