If you love the sound of a two stroke and love watching the best ride them, here is a classic. Travis Pastrana and Ricky Carmichael at Suzuki test track in 2004. This is I think the first day for Ricky on a Suzuki after switching from Honda.
This is also one of the first test days for Tortelli on the new 450cc four stroke as
well as Davi Millsaps testing the 250cc four stroke.

Cool day at the track shooting with four of my school alumni

  • The best sound that I'll probably never get to hear again is a single 250cc two stroke inside a stadium on a supercross track....

I wish someone had some video of that!

  • awesome corner speed, you don't see that in today's "4-strokecross". and the supercross tracks they have now look like a pit bike track compared to when everybody still rode 2-strokes.

  • Now THOSE machines take skill to ride....

  • 2 or 4 I dont give a shit as long as im riding one of them.

  • Thats one dry track!

  • Stick your tongue out and blow...thats a four stroke...like if you did it hahaha

  • Braaaaaaap!! if you dont know...you dont ride.

  • @sickmodzz1 seems you know a lot about engines, right??? looool

  • I forgot how tall Pastrana is! Looks like he is riding an 80!

  • I dont understand how 4 stroke fans can talk mess about two strokes. Besides the fact that the 4 stroke wouldn't be where it is today without the two stroke, there is just no reason to brag. 4 strokes produce LESS power per cc, and take FAR less skill to ride fast. I equate bragging 4 stroke riders to quad riders. You really have nothing to gloat about. I own both btw.

  • @Rj16199 First off, 2-strokes are faster when 4-strokes aren't given ridiculous handicaps. Second, 4-strokes are louder. 2-strokes have a higher pitch which seams louder up close, but at a distance 4-strokes are much louder. Their sound carries MUCH farther, and this is why tracks have closed.
