This shows the machining of the steel billet from which four crank disks will be parted off, two of these disks have slide valve actuating eccentrics.
The crankshaft must be made first, as it is the most difficult: if I can make an accurate and true running crankshaft I can make the entire engine - if not, I cannot successfully make the engine itself!
