My latest collage on the invasion of mars by robots.
Since the 1970s Mars is being bombarded by space probes. Only half of these robots land successfully, the other half end up strewn across the Martian surface in small pieces of twisted metal, plastic, glass and shredded parachute material.
One day soon it will also be strewn with small pieces of twisted astronaut. Already there are six trainees taking part in a psychological test in Russia in which they are hermetically sealed within hi-tech wooden huts for up to 105 days. I have included a couple of wooden buildings that the brain fried astronauts have managed to knock to-gether during their indefinite stay.
Amongst the debris you can find:
An astronaut running to catch his flight home
An astronaut being run over by a robot rover
Two characters from Star wars
A Martian
5 space shuttles
19 astronauts
1 skeleton
Thank you! Yes, every single photo is from National Geographic magazines, even R2D2 and characters from the sci-fi movie "The day the Earth stood still" (the little blue guy waving at us)
and you're right that the mushroom cloud and dust clouds are volcanic eruptions!

Yay!!!!! So this is where Space Idiocy went. Very powerful, A. Like all your work. It's not enough that we wreak havoc on our own planet.....Are these bits all from Nat.Geographic? Are the dust/debris clouds all volcanic eruptions. Must know. Must know. I love this. It's very sad and disturbing and, wait for it, BEAUTIFUL. And there's that bit of pathos - the little blue guy waving out at us. Brilliant!! Thank Yooooooo.
