Yeah, Nothing beats his early stuff such as this one. It was just never the same after some point.

I grew up with this music. And I'm thankful for it .stories of life.Good or bad. Right or wrong .My thanks Sir Elton ,Bernie, Gus.

I think this was one of his VERY BEST. I think after Cpt Fantastic, we lost the good EJ and BT stuff.

Trying to stomach my way through Sir Elton's sappy vocals on "The Union," his long overdue tribute to and with Leon Russell. He broke my heart when he stopped signing and playing like this. Adored "Tumbleweed Connection". Afraid the Texan in me will never forgive him.

I always thought that this was the best mixed album that anybody ever made. Maybe the 1970 album 'Jesus Christ Superstar' too.

Most people don't realize it, but Gus Dudgeon deserves a lot of the credit for the way Elton sounded back in the 70's. Elton didn't habg around in the studio for much more than laying down the vocal and piano tracks. Most of the amazing shit on these albums were Gus's doing.

This is Elton Johns best albumn hands down, thanks to Bernie Taupin, who co-wrote with Elton. It's the only one of his I ever bought.
