San Juan violent demolition 2012 - Radio interview of Diane Solmayor at DZRH

This is the radio interview of Diane Marie Solmayor from Anakbayan-National Capital Region. In a separate interview, Solmayor revealed how from January 11-13, it was only Congressman JV Ejercito who has been sought for interview by mainstream media. Through their own initiative, Anakbayan-NCR called up DZRH to air their side, after "Ejercito has belittled the fight of the residents as an infiltration of outsiders" and "rambled on about promises they have for the people when they have not kept any of their promises for four decades".

The audio record was cut before the end of the interview where Solmayor ended with "No Vote for JV in 2013"

1) The land has been awarded to the people twice via President Corazon Aquino's Proclamation 164 and via President Gloria-Macapagal Arroyo's Executive Order 54. There are such proclamations to the the effect of awarding the land, this we cannot deny.

2) Even the original Marcos awarding the land to the local government is subjected to private rights

@cnmgroup2010 In the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines' The Forum on January 17, 2012, it was noted that even in the original Marcos proclamation awarding the land to the local government, such awarding is subject to private rights. The tenants of the land has private rights. And if the local government is for the poor, then why not just award the land since there have been moves by higher offices to award the land? The Ejercito dynasty has only denied the CDJ land from the people.

The land has been twice awarded to the residents of Corazon de Jesus, first by the administration of Corazon Aquino and then by the administration of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. The residents lost to the CA decision ONLY due to mere technicalities; because the GMA admin failed to pursue the awarding of the land. Truly, such awarding of the land is only part of political bickering. However, the poor people are the ones who are constantly victimized by politicians greedy in wealth and power.
