My Into and first thoughts on the Bodyguard 380 by Smith & Wesson. I like the concept of this gun. A small cost effective 380 thats pretty light. Im just having some issues with the features on it. I do plan to shoot this soon and if I cant film it I will at least give some good feedback!

  • Honest review. My friend just bought this gun....I hope he doesn't end up regretting it. For me, I'll keep carrying my Taurus 738 TCP :-)......I'm not convinced with this particular Smith.

  • @boochieboy814 Well its been a year. I good friend of mine has one and loves it.. I like im going to perhaps try another.. I REALLY want to like this gun

  • It would be nice if the laser would activate when safety is fliped down, dont think that would ever happen

  • @BIGGxDAWG210 Oh for sure my friend. You know I've gotten a lot of comments and PM's telling me that all it takes, is to train with it, and while I completely get that training helps. I know for a fact that in a defensive situation some people, even trained ones, will have trouble with the laser on this. (I'm not saying its hard, Its even where your finger should be when drawing your firearm.) I'm just saying get one of these in your hands. Pretend your getting shot at and know what I mean.

  • @Barricade696 i got one and its a POS.That laser is just gonna get worse.Mine needs 10lbs of pressure to turn on.LOL

  • @BIGGxDAWG210 lol..... I like the gun. But Trust my life to a 238 everyday. nuff said......

  • Dude, you need a hug.

  • Funny, I feel the same way as you do with this pistol. I purchased two of them because the price was really nice (350.00) one for me and the other for my wife. Mine had multiple issues during the first 50 round test, sent it back to S&W and got it back yesterday, after four weeks. Everything seems to be fixed had not taken it to the range yet but will try it this weekend. It's not like my Sig P238 but it's a nice gun and I will spend some more time with it at the range. Thanks for the Vid.

  • Yes, the take down lever is a beast to take off, but at least you took it off a lot faster than me. I could never get the lever to stay at the 6 o'clock position; it's more like the 7 or 8 o'clock position. I don't concern myself too much with the laser. I use it to see where my aim goes after I fire it. I don't care to use laser in a real life situation anyway. As for shooting the BG, I did have some jams but due to bad ammo and misfire, but use good ammo and it will get the job done quick.

  • great little pistol, at 25 yards you can shoot decent groups with a moderately fast trigger finger. kicks quite a bit for a little .380 but its a rearward kick more that upward.

  • @phallski was the magazine in the gun?

  • My brother got one a few months ago. I love it. Makes me realize just how big my "compact" pistol is. Lol.

  • 200 rounds shot...no malfunction; very decent sights and a laser if needed. What more do you need? Love the BG 380.

  • they shoot it in the factory

  • Funny about the take down lever. I tried one out in the store and the take down lever was HARD, almost two hands needed to release the slide.

  • My slide release is perfect. You might wanna get yours looked at. My takedown lever is hard as shit too.
