A grant of 2 million hours of super computer process time has been awarded to scientists of the Priceton Plasma Physics Laboratory to simulate a nuclear fusion reactor.
Why would The USDE cut off funding for more promising reactor design configurations. Does The US government really want better technology in this important area of research to belong to other powers in the world?. Some other researchers have already abandoned the taurus/donut shaped reactor chambers for the more advanced & efficient mobius strip type core designs. Fusion has the potential of solving much of the worlds energy requirements, if it can be made to work.
