good tip- Bob, I have a small table saw like that one any tips for making it more permanent ? IE: larger table and a better fence the fence on this one sucks

And maybe mention the stunning improvement in cut quality that a good blade will make; even on a cheaper saw. Put a good 80 tooth carbide tipped blade on a cheap benchtop table saw, and be amazed at the crosscuts that will result; both on the top AND bottom of the piece you're sawing. But use a cheap-o blade on the best saw ever, and you still won't get good results.

I think that I disagree about the circular saw. Because you are pushing the saw forward, the blade makes contact with the top layer first and then exits through the bottom, so you want the finished side up.

@sonicseaweed , you havent used a circular saw then. I cut large pieces of finished panels for kitchen plus countertops. Finished side ALWAYS down. Give it a try, you'll find out for yourself. Good Luck.
