It is interesting that those fans seem to be oblivious to the great Fred Astaire and how intensely Michael studied his smooth, highly-polished style. Elvis, needless to say, was not a dancer nor was he a songwriter. He was a singer and an actor--that it!

@LiarsBurnInHell I agree with much of what you said--certainly regarding you description of LMP.

It should be fairly obvious that I was not paying LMP a compliment when I referred to her as 'funky'. A funky-looking house is NOT a good thing. It would be almost impossible to sell because almost no one wants to buy one. The implication is that it is cheep, old, rundown, dirty, and probably rodent infested--which is highly undesirable, of course.

When someone says, "This cheese looks and smell funky" they mean the cheese looks moldy and smells musty.

As you probably know, some English words have different meanings, depending on the context. They are context dependent. Another meaning of 'funky' --the one you have in mind--is "modern, stylish, in an unconventional way". Similarly, when Michael said, "I'm BAD" he really meant "I'm GOOD."

@TheAnuc LMP is not only funky--which is bad enough--LMP is hillbilly funky. In recent years, a few hillbillies may have looked at videos of LMP with Michael and thought---Wow, cool. They look cute together--but most people have always been nonplussed since they were so clearly a mismatched pair. Meanwhile, the rest of us have been saying, "Now, that was absurd. What was Michael Jackson supposed to do with something like that? Dance on her.

@TheAnuc My guess is there are very few people who actually believe much of anything LMP says anymore. After all, it's extremely obvious that Michael had no real interest in LMP and it is well known that right after Debbie offered to have children for him Michael dumped her.

Those people took LMP's face-saving PR statement at face value. They had absolutely no idea that Michel walk out on LMP in 1995, weeks before she gave in and filed for the divorce in January of 1996. That was one more humiliating reality for LMP, so she obscured it from public view.
